I know, I know…way too soon to be talking about going to back to school right?
Those are words my boys definitely do not want to hear…yet!
I made these cupcakes for Teacher Appreciation week this year and have already gotten quite a few requests to make these little guys for back to school…
These are red velvet cupcakes topped with yummy cream cheese frosting. The little apples are made out of colored red gumpaste…
Just looking at them makes me want to go back to school..okay..well not so much, but still.
My weakness? New school supplies! 🙂
Have a great night!
I love anything related to a circus or carnival theme. The colors, the stripes, the cheeriness it invokes..
I am working on a birthday party for a friend that is using a circus theme and is incorporating red, …blue and green stripes in her decor.
She gave me a few of these cups/stands for the cupcakes, and we are using the matching candy stripe baking cups that match perfectly!
My baking cups obsession continues…. 🙂

Nothing sweeter than a candy bar to sweeten things up!
For my son’s birthday this year, he couldn’t quite decide between a candy-themed birthday party (we had just watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and we were quite inspired) or a WWE birthday party…(yes wrestling)
Because I could not decide either ( I was of no help there ), we chose to go with BOTH ideas…
one candy party theme in the living room and a WWE party theme in the back yard!
All I can say was that he was one happy little guy on his special day!See More
I love this cake. I made it a while back and I have duplicated it in so many other color variations since…Light blue with brown, pink and light green, yellow and pink..
Since this was for a baby girl baby shower, the mommy-to-be requested that everything be in pink..including the cake itself, so I made a two-tiered strawberry cake with whipped cream frosting and strawberries.
The little lamb was made out of gumpaste and colored fondand cut-out circles.
So sweet in pink!
Have a great night!
This weekend one of my dearest friends had a pool party for her little guy turning 7!
These little cucpakes were so much fun to bake and decorate. Half of them were chocolate with vanilla buttercream and the other half were cherry jello-flavored with cherry jello buttercream..Who knew that jello would turn an ordinary vanilla cupcake into something, WOW!
To incorporate the pool/beach party theme, I made some with little palm trees, coconuts, flip flops, little umbrellas, Hawaiian shirts, and beach balls.
The best part of this fun party? The snow-cone machine! 🙂
